Just as if it was a movie, the Royal Blue diamonds are only the 0.03% of diamonds in the world. With the characteristic blue color, these diamonds are one of the most expensive rocks in the world, being sold by around $19million dollars.

Recently, a 7.59- carat diamond “Premier Blue” will be auctioned, sold by M.S. Rau Antiques in New Orleans. This diamond is expected to go out by October 7, and the auction house expects at least $19 million for the piece.  The valuable stone is considered flawless on the inside and based on the round shape and vivid intensity is considered that will make a new record. The highest amount paid per carat.

This stone was previously owned by King Louis XIV of France in 1668. Currently on display at the Smithsonian Museum.
